From her early days as a singer/songwriter Ane Brun´s music has taken a turn for the expansive. Maybe thats what happens when you work and tour with Peter Gabriel? Her latest album When I´m free is full of jazz bass climbing around  waves of strings who crash into hazy trip hop beats. But it never get´s too weird. Because Ane Bruns dramatic voice is always there, protecting the songs from the downpour of great ideas like a beautiful umbrella.
